For months here at GoTo Global, we have been working on continuing our European expansion, and now I am delighted to reveal we have officially acquired Emmy.
For those not in the know, emmy is the market leader offering spontaneous short-term rentals with electric scooters in Germany. With a fleet of over 3,000 scooters across Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, Emmy covers more than 22 million kilometres on its scooters and has more than 350,000 customers signed up for its app. This point of entry into the German market is a great strategic step for us and significantly increases GoTo Global's European footprint, positioning us to exceed €100 million in annual revenues by the end of 2023.
We today can see that across Europe very few city journeys rely on just one form of vehicle, and we believe that multimodal transport is the future for modern urban travel. In a nutshell, we intend to revolutionise the way German commuters travel, providing a single, technology-driven app to access multimodal transportation. Weare excited to bring this unique technology platform to the German market, enabling commuters to move in whichever way best suits their needs easily.
We are currently in an ongoing investment round to further expand our multimodal mobility offering across Europe. This timely acquisition in fact brings us one step closer to our mission of bringing multimodal shared mobility to every major European city by 2025, augmenting our excellent growth trajectory. We’re on course to register 100% year on year growth in 2021 and we assume to be at least 30–36 months ahead of other platforms and offerings in the market.
